In 2002, Denon merged with Marantz who also specialize in high end audio equipments.

Denon is primarily associated with producing high fidelity audio and video equipments. They are known for using professional grade components in their DVD, Blu-ray, and A/V receiver units. Aside from A/V equipments, Denon also manufactures IPod accessories as well speaker accessories. To go along with their A/V equipments, Denon introduced a high end universal remote RC-7000CI. The programmable remote control features LCD screen as well as IR and RF frequencies.
